My trip to Chicago went incredibly well. I had time to walk around Millennium Park, the Navy Pier, the Chicago Art Museum and to pick up some Intelligentsia coffee. I found the Navy pier very odd and even a little creepy. It was almost deserted and there was loud 80's musak playing from the speakers. All the restaurants were closed, it was overcast and since it was Halloween there was an occasional person walking around dressed as a skeleton or an axe murderer - quite pleasant. I fell in love with the bean, though, and visited it at least four times. It was lovely.  Below is the hat I made last-minute for the costume event.
